For Shabbat July 4, 2026, I led Musaf davening working in common American partriotic tunes.\u00a0 I did my best to maintain proper phrasing of the prayers.<\/p>\n
Here is information on what I did.\u00a0 Note that hyphens (-) in the English indicate repeating or elongating vowels to help the tunes fit (they may not be entirely accurate).\u00a0 Therefore, where I might otherwise use a hyphen to avoid typing out one of the divine names that may not be erased<\/a>, I have separated those names with a space, e.g. \u05d0\u05b1 \u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b5\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc rather than \u05d0\u05b1-\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b5\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc.<\/p>\n For each song, there is a YouTube video with the regular words on top of the column with the regular words and a video with instrumental music above the Hebrew words.\u00a0 The videos are queued up to where the lyrics begin.\u00a0 Rewind if you want to hear the intro.<\/p>\n A sample of my recording of the Hebrew words for the tune follows the words.<\/p>\n
